What do successful people do? Emotional control activity for adults and teens:
I know a person can get emotional when they’re truly dedicated to attaining their goal. Personally I've cried, lost sleep, lost friends and at some points lost myself in the hustle to attain my goals. I constantly have to emotionally check myself so that my emotions are not obstacles but fuel. Sometimes we make irrational decisions in moments of great emotion and it can cause a grandiose negative effect towards our goal attainment. Mistakes are a part of life, I cant tell you if i'm writing this for me or i'm writing it for you but remember during the toils of regret that mistakes are not a bad thing. They’re an opportunity to reflect and grow. Mistakes are supposed to be made and mistakes are okay to make. What's wrong is not learning from your mistakes. Insanity can be defined as expecting different results when conducting repetitive actions. Rationally you have to realize you can't be happy all the time, there are events or tragedies that will always sway your emotions for the better or for worse. A critical step towards living a wealthy life is being aware of how you think and noticing how your emotion affects your action. Knowing what truly pleases you and pisses you off then noticing how you react from those generated emotions has everything to do with achieving your goal. Strong emotions have been the driving force for world wars and global peace rallies. At times people let their emotions take the wheel, they tend to act illogical and make irrational decisions. You might not realize it at that very moment but an irrational decision can haunt you for the rest of your life. Be emotional about what you're trying to attain but be smart in order to attain it. Learn about yourself and use your emotions to your advantage. If you're not willing to work for what you want mentally and physically don't expect any change in your life. What do successful people do? They put the effort in, it's that simple! You can't reap fruit if you didn't learn the agricultural basics. Be aware of how you think, be aware of your emotions because they can be deadly for you or deadly towards your enemies. A good way to develop emotional control is to notice your mood in the morning. The way your day starts affects how the rest of your day plays out. As soon as you wake up take notice of your first thoughts and feelings of the day. If you woke up not in the best of moods, try and change it by doing something that you truly enjoy. You can do joyful things like watch something funny, go for a walk, eat your favorite breakfast but always take the time to start your day emotionally healthy. It would be wise to wake up a little earlier so that you can have a peace inducing morning ritual. It's going to be nearly impossible for you to go from pissed off, to preaching peace on earth in one emotional jump but you can get there gradually. It's important to realize why you're even feeling this way self searching is a powerful cognitive tool that everyone should be utilizing on a regular basis. Your best bet is to always start your day with something that brings you joy because if your angry, sad or doubtful chances are that your mind won't be focused on achieving what you want you'll be absorbed in your negative thoughts and emotions. Some tend to underestimate the effect that their emotions and thoughts have on their behavior, but the reality is your behavior caused by what you're thinking and feeling. Thoughts are the gateway to heaven on earth, a heaven everyone deserves.
Below I've attached a life coaching activity to help you figure out your morning rituals. It's critical that you be specific. There should be a min of a 200 word response to each question after you’ve answered the following questions. I challenge you to question your answers and repeat the process until you have developed a morning ritual.
Be descriptive in you response:
1. What do I like and don't like?
2. How much time can I spend towards a peaceful morning ritual and describe it?
3. How are my emotions getting in the way of my goal?
