What does changing your life mean?
How does one even go about changing their life? Finding yourself in a place that you don't want to be in life? I’ve definitely been there a few times in my life, that's for sure. The craziest thing about changing your life( that I’ve noticed) is how big of an impact the seemingly smallest things have on the individual. The human mind is a sponge that soaks up the information we allow in.
1. How does media affect my mental health and wellness?
The information you choose to abuse has a dramatic impact on one's thought patterns because; the mind is a sponge and content creators seek to manipulate emotions through their content which has a lasting impact( this is like marketing 101 people). If one of your favorite songs is a sad one and you listen to it often, then you're intentionally absorbing that negative thought pattern; these patterns will play out in your life and even affect your decision making.
2. How the people around you affect your life
Some people in our lives are chosen by us to be there and then there are those we are born with. We may not be able to change some people( Unless you're wicked clever at manipulating), but what you can do is understand that you are in control of your mind; it's not a matter of gaining control. One must notice their personal seasons, their cognitive patterns.
3. How does eating the right food change my life?
I’ve always been a terrible eater, I’ve been overweight most of my life( insecurities are a whole other topic lol). But one week( after feeling like shit) I said no more. I ran down to Publix( #chickentendersub) and bought a whole new diet. That was the best decision I’ve ever made; I’ve never had more confidence( still a chunky monkey but confidence is critical when you're building a business), my blogs are getting funnier, and my ass has never looked that toned( Lie). Everything you let into your life is your life.f
4. Why controlling your thoughts change your perspective?
When was the last time you asked yourself, “why did I think that”. I wouldn't be surprised if some of you said never. But this is one of the most enriching questions I’ve ever stumbled on( in the very few years I’ve been gifted, so far). We can’t be afraid of what dances in our minds because you don’t want to dance with just anyone( trust me). This topic is actually quite hard to describe because 1, 2, and 4-7 all have an impact on your perception; But perception is in your control.
5. Why do the words I speak matter?
Our jargon and babble( we all do it) that we mindlessly let trickle off our tongues actually can give spectators a lot of insight into the person. So it only makes sense we notice our own. I believe that there is a reason for our actions and reaction, yet I know that one can notice these subtle things that they do and change them. If you always consider yourself lacking then don’t be surprised that your actions and reactions make that truth in your world.
6. The Aftermath of Unintentional Background information
This is tricky because many promotions are out of our control. For example, during the beginning of building Project Promotionals, there was a Youtube ad that always left me doubting myself. The ad was for marketing and it started off as “..So you Suck at marketing..”. I only saw the ad a few times but it left such a negative impact on me( I was just beginning to work on my marketing strategy); it made me question everything. But that same ad is the reason I'm writing an entry. It took me some time to realize that that's ad wasn’t meant for me because I am in control just like you are.
7. How to create joy in your life.
It’s so easy to focus on what brings stress but when was the last time you focused on what brought you joy? Or try new things that you might enjoy? Humans are creative, chaotic creatures of habit. The life we live can be structured but only by the individual's will( something we all possess).
Conclusion:
No, one said changing your life was going to be easy. It might be the hardest thing you will ever do. But it can be done. We always have a choice to change. Through effort, Intelligence, and logic anyone can do anything( trust me).
